Letters of Reference
Brittany Fortune / Program Operations Manager / Seufferlein Sales Program
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you today to recommend Gabriel Piccus-Friedman as a potential candidate for your company.
Gabe has shown tremendous leadership and an innate thirst to conquer complex business problems in the time
that I have gotten to know him. In this letter, I will highlight the various capacities in which I have experienced
Gabe’s utmost professionalism, tenacity, and drive.
1) Student: As a student in my class (Strategic Personal Selling), Gabe quickly rose to the top of his class as a
top performer in attendance, participation, and sales role-play performance. This demonstration led to
him to being selected to compete in the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition. This is an
experience that many students could only dream of being offered, but very few students are qualified as
it requires soft-skills, competitive drive, and strategic planning skills. Gabe was offered a spot to compete,
among 71 other high caliber students from across the Western United States. He demonstrated strong
customer empathy and solution selling which led to him being awarded as a “quarter finalist,”
outperforming 60 other competitors.
2) Seufferlein Sales Program: Gabe is being recognized as a top sales student from the Seufferlein Sales
Program at California State University, Chico. His thorough study of Business Administration and
Marketing are sure to benefit any organization, but the sales skills that he has learned within the 21-units
that he has completed in consumer behavior, sales management, strategic personal selling, and advanced
sales are sure to give your company and stronger competitive advantage in your staffing strategies.
I appreciate your careful consideration of Gabe Piccus-Friedman as a possible candidate for your company. He has
experienced a multifaceted journey in sales, leadership, and has also demonstrated strong work ethic,
commitment, creativity, and professionlism in communication. He is sure to provide tremendous value to your
workforce. Not only has he made significant contributions within each of the above roles, but he has also helped
others find their niche, creating a rippling effect where monumental strides and contributions have been made
from other members, as inspired personally by Gabe.
It is with great honor that I am submitting this recommendation for Gabriel Piccus-Friedman to be considered as a
candidate for your company.
Sincerely,
Brittany Fortune

It is rare that you come across a standout student like Gabriel. I had the pleasure of having him in my introduction to entrepreneurship class. I was particularly impressed by Gabriel's ability to lead his team that was dedicated to developing his own business concept.
He went beyond course requirements and pitched his concept at the university's Elevator Pitch Competition. His presentation skills are top-notch and he comes across as quite polished and professional. He nailed every pitch I saw him give.
His work was always top-quality and he is also dedicated to improvement as he always sought feedback on his work. I wholeheartedly recommend him. Gabriel would be an asset to any team.

I had the pleasure of working with and mentoring Gabe Piccus-Friedman, our summer marketing intern while working as a Sr. Global Product Manager for AngioDynamics. Gabe exudes positivity and a willingness to learn. He showed up on time each day, was eager to take on new projects, and coachable.
Gabe was tasked with various projects, one of which was partnering with a surgical oncologist KOL to develop a clinical pancreatic ablation procedure technique animation using PowerPoint. He did a fantastic job on this assignment and demonstrated professionalism when communicating with the surgeon. Gabe also demonstrated persistence in reaching out and continually following up with our US sales team to determine procedure mix by specialty and organ application. Gabe’s big project over the summer was to research a new business opportunity for the Oncology/Surgery franchise. He ended up identifying a new application utilizing an existing technology, evaluated the market size, and presented his findings in front of the franchise management team and R&D engineers during the quarterly Oncology/Surgery franchise steering committee meeting in our Marlborough, MA office.
Robert Pieper / Market Research Manager / PowerSchool Group LLC
To Whom It May Concern,
I worked with Gabe Piccus-Friedman at PowerSchool in 2018. He was my direct report and filled the role of Market Research Intern. This was a new role for our company and Gabe brought the enthusiasm, flexibility and subject knowledge that was needed to define the role and bring value to the company. Gabe played an integral role in making our new marketing intern team successful.
In addition to doing his job well, Gabe was simply a pleasure to work with. Our intern team was made up of five people, and everyone had to pitch in and help with a variety of tasks; from data collection and cold calling to creating executive presentation materials and endless reports. Gabe willingly helped with all the tasks that were needed and did so with a friendly and fun attitude. Gabe has a desire to learn and be successful that is rare to find in an employee.
I think Gabe would be a great addition to any team and I'd work with him again if our paths crossed in the future.
Please feel free to call me or reach out if you have any questions or would like more details. I would like nothing more to sing Gabe’s praises.
Best regards,
Robert Pieper
